Because of the crisis, people prefer to spend their money to satisfy their basic needs such as eating, having a shelter, therefore paying their rents. Buying a computer is sometimes impossible, they just can’t afford it and school is the only solution to have better standards of living, with diplomas, with the possibility to have access to information you get improve yourself, then get a better degree and be graduated and obtain a better well-paid job which will allow you to buy a computer and have an access to culture. It is a circle.

EXPRESSION ECRITE

SUBJECT A

Il était nécessaire de respecter le format de la lettre (une date, une formule d’entrée, une formule de politesse), c’était une lettre plutôt formelle donc il fallait faire attention à ne pas employer d’américanisme (“gonna”, “wanna” étaient à bannir)

Des adjectifs du type :

caring, patient, optimisic, daring, energetic

Comme toutes étaient des associations a but caritatif il ne fallait pas faire mention de la notion d’argent mais insister sur la volonté de servir son prochain, de se battre contre les inégalités et les injustices de la vie. Faire également mention de ses qualités d’altruiste.

 

SUBJECT B

Comme tous les discours il vous fallait commencer par vous adresser à vos compatriotes (ici des étudiants)

le ton employé devait être solennel et on attendait de vous une logique dans ce discours.

Vous deviez parler de vos meilleurs souvenirs dans l’école, les choses découvertes et apprises (insistant sur la notion de partage, de camaraderie)

Quelques exemples (2 maximum) pouvaient étayer votre discours (les moments passés avec tel ou tel professeur.)

- Des verbes comme :

sharing, learning, testing, experiencing, discovering, fulfilling

- Des adjectifs comme:

mature, open minded, reliable, sponteanous

- Les temps employés pour ce sujet :

les deux passés et le present perfect afin de parler des conséquences d’une telle éducation.

- La fin de votre discours pouvait se faire avec l’emploi du futur, vous pouviez en effet parler de vos plans à moyen terme et comment grâce à cette école vous entendez bien y arriver.
